Sorry DT, I thought your second post kind of killed any (UK) interest.

It looks a useful front-end, but ditto JT's comments for scalpers.

Still, for us longer-term FX players (5 mins!) it ain't so bad.

Thats the whole point jonny / bramble..you can deal inside the spread ie capture the spread.. so on E$ instead of paying 1 pip you could could earn 3 pips..ive downloaded a demo and had a look, not sure if it represents the market real (cos u obviously cant enter demo orders in the market real ;) ) but ive never seen this sort of platform available to retail.

Unless im really missing something

:)

Darktone,

HotspotFXi is an Electronic Communications Network (ECN) and is a great idea as long as there is enough liquidity to make the platform useful. The ECN type of platform eliminates the broker being the market maker and eliminates the conflicts of interest that are present in retail forex. I haven't tried it personally. There are other ECN type platforms but they require larger accounts and some require a banking relationship or only deal with banks. Probably the most accessible is the Currenex platform with clearing through Refco but it requires a $250,000 account. Others include FXall, FX Connect, Reuters dealing platform, and EBS.
