the result you get from your calcualtion is ALWAYS a multiple of NINE.

check the final board. the SAME image is at 9, 18, 27, 36, etc.
(when it mixes up the images to give the illusion of changing, the nine multiples are always the same)

eg; 34; 34 - 7 = 27.
46; 46 - 10 = 36.
67; 67 - 13 = 54.

yeah but shouldnt people trip on the variable images ? the images rotate inline, sneaky sods, good one :)

anyway; choose a two-digit number, (a 10-multiple and a unit)
the ten-unit = 10x. the single-unit = y.

if you subtract the "integers", you get:

(10x + y) - x - y.
The "y"s cancel out, leaving (10x - x) = 9x.

Thus, any answer will always be a multiple of 9.

I misunderstood the idea....when asked for a 2 digit number I just assumed it was any number greater than 9 so I chose 11.

Didn't seem all that magical to me when it came up with the wrong image! hahaha

Well math never was my strongest ability!!

After re-doing it today I see that it does work. Since I know the secret though it still doesn't seem too magical. :LOL:
