Thinkorswim(TOS) or OpenEcry(OEC)

Hello my fellow traders.
Does any of you have experience with any of those 2 brokers? I am mainly trading mini SP and mini crude oil?

TOS can be pretty costly if you're trading small, futures especially.. they can be negotiated down for volume.. Options are their forte so to speak, software is awesome.. Can't speak much for OEC, though they do have a better selection of futures on offer. You simply can't beat Interactivebrokers for price if you're trading futures, especially the two you mention. my 2 cents.

Thank you for your advice. At this moment i will not trade aggressively therefore i am looking for stable and reliable platform. Are you using IB platform? I heard a lot of negative feedback regarding IB.

I use it all the time and find it very reliable, though bear in mind I'm not a scalper, those guys may have a different slant on the reliability / robustness of the platform. I've read negative feedback about them too.. there are a ton of people who get all fruity about IB, zealot like types and axe grinders, its just a discount broker.. its not a simple piece of software, there's a good bit to learn, yet at the same time it can be as complicated or simple as you want it.. for choice of markets and fees, they're hard to beat. watch the tutorial vids on their site to see it working.

I started off with optionsXpress, which did not cut the mustard for me at all. Then I went to ToS; their software is absolutely awesome, they have a great focus on education, but they were only just starting out with futures instruments when I used them, and a few features weren't really available. I have now moved to IB's TWS platform. Their software is a little ordinary, but the commissions are cheap, and there are loads of 3rd party apps which can plug into TWS, which I like.
