actually moon's behaviour has very close relation how it would affect the earth's sea level / tides..(try google any related source/info) is NASA trying to destroy earth?

Exactly what is the problem with what NASA is doing?

Probably, nothing, but don't forget that the moon influences our tidal systems. So, next time there is a tsunami, or tidal flooding, somewhere, remember who is to blame.

Seriously.- This is stage one of contaminating the moon. Next, other countries will start doing something to it. All experimentation, of course.

While many of the posts on this thread are tongue in cheek, unfortunately I think some are not. And this reply addresses the latter.

Take a look at the moon through a telescope or a photo of the moon. You will see it covered with craters. And look at the size of some of those craters. Stuff has been falling on the moon for billions years - and continues to do so. And some of that stuff has been vastly more massive than the whimpy couple of tons dropped on it by NASA. And how big is the crater left by the NASA impact - just a half the size of an Olympic swimming pool. And the energy released - equivalent to 1.5 tons of TNT. By what possible mechanism could the NASA impact do any damage to anything?

Meanwhile back here on Earth, environmental destruction including climate change proceeds at a frightening pace, but is denied by many people despite the best scientific evidence available.

And the common thread - a profound ignorance and distrust of science.

The world has gone to the dogs if you can't even crash some stuff into a rock that nobody owns or lives on. If you can't od that, what can you destroy these days.

Hey yeah, next they'll be saying you can't invade a country when you damn well want to.
