How many years has it been since we did the last? Well no doubt we'll all look older, hopefully somewhat wiser, in the photos.

Given it's already almost mid November, time to start planning. I'm thinking early December, central london - probably a Friday or Saturday. Drinks (T2W could cover the first century :drunk:) followed by table booked in a restaurant (set xmas menu, PAYG).

Chinatown has been a hit in the past or perhaps someone has a better suggestion?

UPDATED 02/12/14:

Saturday, 6th December

- Meet up at De Hems Dutch Cafe Bar at 12 noon (£100 tab - first come first served)
http://www.nicholsonspubs.co.uk/dehemsdutchcafebarsoholondon/

- Head over to China City for lunch at 2pm
http://www.chinacitygroup.co.uk/chinatown.html

We'll be ordering a selection of dim sum, prices shouldn't exceed £25 per person.

RSVP please by 30th Nov, so please post on this thread if you're coming, and I'll get in touch with your privately to exchange phone numbers etc.

Saturday night...not Chinatown
Covent Garden...much nicer
plenty of places there

Depends on the date.....personally prefer Chinatown.....Imperial China still excellent (used to be called China City where t2w had meals years ago)

So two decent options. I'll get hold of their christmas menus and post them here up here shortly.

So Imperial China (£25.00 or £28.50) and Brasserie Blanc (£39.50), menus attached.

Okay, let's stick to what we know, and we know Imperial China is great. So I reckon Saturday is a good day, give people an excuse to get in early to do some Christmas shopping. I think evening is more fun, but if people are coming in from outside London, lunch might be a better call? Perhaps Saturday 6th or 13th depending on availability.

there is also cote brasserie or all bar one
good food in both and not confined to xmas menu

Not a fan of chinese food? Or just like a good old fashioned stuffed turkey? :D

Cotes is usually pretty good, they have a £29.95 menu attached; and they have a covent garden branch and one by leicester square.

Let's hear from a few others that might by interested...

I'm going to stick my neck out and suggest Imperial China off Leicester Square, £25 menu, lunchtime on Saturday 6th December. Warm-up drinks before hand at a local pub. Novelty Xmas jumpers optional.

Might pop down for that. Isnt there a a chance(danger) that some home truths may come out once the beer starts to flow. Could be interesting:)

Also I feel that we should have one free drinks for every 1000 posts and one for every year youve been a member. We could vote on it

not coming for the food...did not like it last time

What's not to like about Dim Sum - it's luverly. If you don't fancy Chinese, I'm sure they'll do you an omelette 'n chips or something dentist!

I hate Xmas set menus !!
Over the years i have had many. Most have been rubbish.I never order 3 courses when i go to a restaurant.Prefer just to order one course a la carte...send it back if its rubbish
i will sit in the corner with my cheese and pickle sandwich...
