Swing trade option

how is the option swing trading ? what is the expiration better to use when positions average 5-10 days ?

its cheaper to buy a 3m then close the position or buy a short term option ?

the shorter term provide more gamma but when they expire they expire worthless so its better to enter a more longer term say 3 month option then close or use a 2 weeks-1 month ? keeping in mind that I expect the movement to occur in this week 2-5 days and will close the position within 5-10 days
