Strange action Friday, whats in store for Saturday?

Hello all,

I am relatively new to the forex market, and was confused by fridays actions on the EUR/USD. Durring Euro market great news came out in regards to germ manufacturing and then US NFP came back terrible. The EUR.USD moved up 50 pips then droped by about 100. Do you guys think with the market open today in the Asian and Euro areas we will see the upward trend movement continue?

The EUR has been trending up against the USD for over 5 years. It may have some retraces along the way but the trend is up and will probably continue to be that way for quite a while yet.

Also although NFP was -63K against expectations of +25K the overall employment rate was better than forecast and this figure was released at the same time. In my view you cannot isolate one from the other especially when the net effect is positive relative to overall expectations.
