Spread Betting - Understanding Indicators

Hi,

I am planning to start spread betting, firstly just for play money then hopefully after 6 months or so real.

Does anyone have any advice on articles/books or even advice on what sort of information I am looking at, allowing me to make a decision on how the market will trends.

At the moment I have no idea on what information I should be looking for that will affect markets, and even how they will actually affect it.

To know that you aren't sure how information will affect the markets, isn't a bad start. After many years, when you have enough history on the markets, you will one day realise that everyone else on the market is just as unknowing.
