Spread Betting Arbitrage

Hey,

Forgive me if what I'm about to ask is complete nonsense, but I was wondering if anyone does arbitrage trading with spread bets. I could well be talking absolute b*****ks but I thought if it was possible, it might be worth doing it as the bookies mover there prices all over the show. However I may be overlooking something very simple which would mean you couldn't arb trade with spreads. If this is the case apologies in advance.

I would appreciate anyones thoughts?

There have been other discussions on this and the view was that at one time it was very possible and several members from this site did well out of it.

However times have changed and the SB companies know when people are arbitrage trading even when using different SB companies and in some cases will close your account down if you try to do it.

Based on that the opportunities appear to have long since gone.
