I just opened up my account with sogotrade.com and over all I like them, but they do some really dumb things:
They time you out every few minutes, but they don't tell you until you try to place a trade, then they send you some goofy message, and don't even offer you an option to log back on. So you have to then click around and find some page where you have the option of logging back on then after you sign back in, your previous page is not invalid so you have to enter your trade all over again. So if your planning on doing any daytrading with this account they make it as hard as they can to place a trade.
I don't even know what to call this other than extremely stupid.
They also have an option to skip the verification process to save you a mouse click (of course after you login and enter your trade twice who gives a **** that they are trying to save you a mouse click) - but once again this falls into the "extremely stupid" category because you are logged out all the time, and each time you log back in you must also reset this feature, making it completely worthless.
their good points are their commissions are only $3 per trade, and so far I have not had any trouble with the executions, at first I thought that I was not getting filled because they trick you by showing your order as open for several minutes after it's filled. This is only slightly stupid and once you know where to go look for your filled orders then it's not that big of a deal.
I get the feeling they are trying really hard, but they just keep falling on their face,
hopefully they fix their software problems which should be very easy to do, and then I would be happy trading there.
