Software for back testing systems?

What software is recomended for trading Fx in regards to creating technical analysis studies and back testing?

I've been using Metastock (EOD) for testing systems for trading shares/stocks but my current dataprovider does not provide proper Fx data.

Have you used Metastock for studing Fx before and how would you rate it. What software is prefered or recomended for creating and back testing systems?

You could try fxengines.com for backtesting.

eSignal have bar and *tick* replay functionality which are useful for training purposes.

Is their any software that you can use to back test gbp/usd on a hourly basis going back the last 5 to 10 years. I also need to be able to put Bollinger Bands, MACD, Commodity channel and 30 day Moving Average on the graphs.

Wealth-lab http://www.wealth-lab.com/ I think will do most of what you want.

Only problem is its a general back testing utility and doesn't come with any forex data, you'd need to buy that seperately as I've done.

P.S. you'd possibly need to know a little about programming. It's nothing too heavy but its something you might want to bear in mind.
