I don’t think so ....if you are going SIPP route I’d recommend the top 3-4 outfits in uk ....any decent publication will rank them ....Hargreaves landsdown and also vanguard are highly regarded and big players
Did a bit of digging..seems you can.Like 'interactive brokers'.
But you need to have a Sipp Administrator.Just wondering anyone has done this?
experiences welcome.
I was able to do this 2008-11. I used a SIPP Administrator and then used MF GLobal as brokers ( before they blew up in Dec 2011). I traded UK options ( which are focussed on FTSE 100 stocks).

Hi I've only just seen your post. I've been trading options in my SIPP for 20 years or so, no problems. It's daft really that options can be traded in a SIPP but not in an ISA! My SIPP manager is Corporate and Professional and under the umbrella of my SIPP I moved some of the cash into a C&P account with ADM, an options broker. This C&P account is then traded by me directly with ADM with online statements sent daily to C&P and to me. C&P then report as required to the SIPP authorities.
I hope that helps.
