Saving on MT4

I have just started using Metatrader4 and every time I exit and open up again none of the changes I have made are saved like the time changes I made to an indicator.

Also I prefer to use cnadlestick charts with green fill for up and red fill for down but I seem unable to save these permanently, is it possible to save these options?

Check Tools / Options / Server tab, Keep personal settings ad data at startup.

I thought this was set on by default when you install it, so maybe it's not the right one, but mine works ok.

To change the colour of the candles and other chart properties, right click on a chart and click on properties in the drop down menu that appears. When you have done setting up a chart you can save the template of that chart by again right clicking om a chart and clicking on template>save template (by naming it.) You can then create a profile of all your charts required by left clicking on the profile menu in bottom left border of the charting application (should be set on default) then naming and saving a profile which should automtically become your default charting profile on re-opening the application each time. You can of course create and save as many chart templates and charting profiles as you need.

It's funny how I get used to a trading platform and then a new one seems foreign to me but
I am getting used to it now and can see some advantages compared to the live account.

What I have to do to keep all lines, and arrows and stuff that I like to keep it on every pair permanently, because everytime that I switch of, most of the stuff disappear, and the following day I have to draw all lines and objects. It is like isn't saving anything.
