I was wondering if anyone actually pays for independent research to be done by firms not connected with a brockerage? I have recently found a small company that promises research papers on a particular stock...emailed within a few hours. It looks at both technical and fundamental factors and is conducted by specialists in each sector. I haven't yet used them but was thinking that an independent and uninvolved second opinion might stop some of my more nieve investments. What does everyone else think? Does anyone use anything similar?
