Recommendations for Sunday Lunch in the Newcastle Area?

I'm looking for recommendations from t2w members for the above.

Will be taking a few people out in a couple of weeks' time and I would like to give them a really nice lunch - preferably in a pub.

Basically anywhere which has great food, good service a pleasant ambience. Nice situation and appearance would be a bonus.

Radiating out from the Jesmond area anywhere up to a 25 mile radius would be great.

Check out the brewers fayre website theres a location finder... ive arranged several meets around the country and always used them.
The food is excellent and the standards in all ive been to are very high in each of them.

Head for "The Queens Head" ( or Arms ) my memory fails me in Great Whittington, which is around 15 miles west of Newcastle, don't think you will do much better, you will also need to book as it gets sooooo busy
