What real-time data feeds would you advise on using. I need it mainly for Indicies and FX. Ive searched throughout this forum but have yet to find something. Interested in RealTimePro but that doesnt have FTSE, with eSignal Market Centre you cant draw trendlines!

I like the sound of Quote Tracker but im quite confused on how to set up the subscription services and i cant see any real-time info for FX data.

Any advise on this would be much appreciated.

Creech,

There are currently 3 data sources that can be used with QT for Forex data. They are:

IQFeed - http://www.quotetracker.com/iqfeed

eSignal - http://www.quotetracker.com/eSignal

Interactive Brokers - http://www.interactivebrokers.com

You would need to download QuoteTracker, then select the datafeed that you want to use. Enter the login info if needed. The specific instructions for configuring each of the sites above are a little different and we have special pages for them:

http://www.quotetracker.com/help/iqfeed.shtml

http://www.quotetracker.com/help/esignal.shtml

http://www.quotetracker.com/help/ib.shtml

You left the reason for the confusion kind of vague. If you have some specific questions, we would be glad to help. Here or via email.

Thanks guys. Jerry, i just found the setting up of the datafeeds a bit confusing. Would i pay for a data feed (i.e. eSignal) via QT? Also, does eSignal support UK indicies/equities as well as forex? Or would i have to select multiple datafeeds for my requirements? Sorry if im sounding simple!

Creech,

If for example you wanted to sign up with eSignal, you would just go to the link above and sign up for it. eSignal does support UK indices/equites, so you do not have to switch datafeeds, though if you do have another datafeed for UK data, you can use both in QT at the same time
