QuoteTracker/ADVFN Changes

FYI - ADVFN datafeed that QuoteTracker connects to has changed. If you are using QuoteTracker with ADVFN as the quote source, you will need to update to the beta version, which has the needed updates to work with the revised ADVFN datafeed. You can get the beta version one of 2 ways:

1) Select OPTIONS/Edit Preferences menu. Click on Misc tab and check the box to be notified of beta updates and click OK. Then, select OPTIONS/WebUpdate menu to get the update.

or

2) Download the full install from http://www.quotetracker.com/beta and install over the existing version. Your settings and portfolios will be retained.

This is a timely post as I was having some issues with ADVFN. However I've upgraded to the beta as above, and still am not getting any data shown. I've tried both ADVFN feeds shown in the selector.

Can you give me an example of how a configured quote should look (i.e., what's the syntax of the symbol etc.)?

Keith, you would enter just the symbols - no prefix or suffix. Example:
BOOT
VOD

NOTE: ADVFN made some changes so you can only be logged in one at a time. Therefore, if you are logged in through QT, you cannot be logged in via regular browser and vice versa.

OK, now I have them. I got another program update today and that seemed to have done the trick. Thanks!
