I've been trading primarily based on MP for the last couple of years and checked out profiletraders.com a while ago. With "lifetime memberships" priced at 1475 bucks and not so convincing info on the website I decided to pass on this. Of course I could be wrong, but I don't find it worth the 25 USD for the one(!) day trial to find out.
It came to mind that my last post might have looked too negative.
On the positive side, if you want to learn more about MP from credible sources, you might wanna consider the affiliates of marketdelta.com (major vendor of MP and MD software). Also, Frank Butera at balancetrader.com is an excellent place to start (for the record he is a good friend of mine). Other than that you got Dalton's own mentoring service, which is considerably more pricy.
My issue with Dalton is that he tells us a lot about how to percieve the market, but less about how to trade it. Certainly there is a reason for this.

the boot camp he offers is probably one of the best MP webinars around, he doesn't cram it full of hypothetical "this and that" without how to apply it to real trading, he actually shows how to trade with MP...which is quite rare believe it or not...you can pay $1000s and read lots of books on MP theory but actually trading with it is a little different story
making a judgement without ever actually taking the trial or class is a bit wreckless, always do your own DD on a service you are checking out
Reza is the guy who runs it and he is very honest, actually trades for a living, shows his dome, doesn't say he is trading 100 contracts with scale outs (he usually trades 1-2 on his dome)

I just emailed Reza about this thread to see if there is anything that can be worked out on giving you a trial of the room...
He agreed to give you (and anyone else coming from this thread) a free 2 day trial of the room. He will only do it for a limited time though so send me a PM if you are interested. He told me he will be on vacation from 8/1 to 8/15, so the offer is good until 8/15.

Is the free trial still good, know its been awhile but I have been seriously considering his service and this would certainly help, thanks either way.
I sent him a mail months ago, he never got back to me. Decided to file his "service" in the round archive.

I also see you are familar with BalanceTrader by Frank Butera, I just signed up for his email newsletter and he sent an introductory lesson also. I emailed him with a question and he seems like a really friendly guy. I have heard good things about him, may end up subcribing.

Have you checked this out? I always find the best sources come straight from the creators themselves. It's boring and heavy, but probably worth it. I'm only on page 40, it's been a month.

the CBOT manual is good to start with to get an idea where it all came from but you will definitely want to study some of the newer info out there
that is one of the things you will learn from reza... current, applicable ways to trade with market profile...since he uses it to trade with every single day
I will give you a quick example, once you study market profile you will learn about the IB and day types and what not. I will tell you right now those aren't as applicable in today's nearly 24 hour market. Even the person that invented market profile doesn't use it the way he used to and he doesn't use many of the original concepts that are still taught today.
I still think it is good to learn the origins though.

You know what, I'm crazy. I'm in a bit of time warp sometimes. I get a bit sleep deprevated, and I'm in Thailand so the time and day is always doing one on me. Since the trial's for Thursday and Friday, I'll probably try logging in then when it would work.

Reza is one of the most honest rooms you will run across, he is a good teacher and a good trader
obviously his trade style will not work for every single person and not everyone will like it but that is just the nature of trading
He does everything he can to help people out, he teaches day in and day out, he shows his dome so you can watch him trade live, he posts his trade run every day, and he does an audio recap for his members
