Problems Accessing the Chatroom


The T2W chatroom can now be accessed again via the website. Anyone trying to access it earlier today would have been prevented from doing so with a message that mentioned the Fizzer virus.

Not wishing to alarm anyone - the message was actually a false detection by the othernet network to try to prevent people who may be infected from crashing their network.

However I've applied the fix which meant upgrading the java applet chat software and there is no longer any problem accessing the room.

Hence, the mention of the virus was a false detection and NOT a virus on your PC or on the website.

Please note the next time you go into the chatroom it should detect the new version of our software and ask you to download/install it - this is fine, and you should do so. If you're not getting this prompt and still getting the message about the virus, try closing down the java consoles that may show up in your task bar (as coffee cups) by right-clicking on it and selecting close - or just reboot your pc.
