Finspreads Advantage Platform Grey Screen!
I'm using windows 7 and internet explorer 10 on desktop. Finspreads advantage was fine on Friday but since Monday I can log in but I only get a grey screen.
I contacted help desk and they suggested using other browsers.
Anybody using Finspreads Advantage (not City Index version) on internet explorer. Any advise would be helpful thanks.
You have Exactly the same problem as me!!! ( I hope this reply works as its the 1st I have done! ) My platform was working on Monday and was dead on Tuesday.
FS Gave me a load of guff about Flash. Speed. and mostly Browsers. This is after I had a previous problem and was advised to go on Mozilla. I cannot access Advantage Web by using either IE 11. Nor the latest Firefox and after my unhelpful conversation with the 1st enquiries guy ( who is blaming me and my computer as well as the browser ) I did what he suggested and installed Google Chrome. Guess What? Bingo! I still have a greyed out platform.
To recap. No Browser works. Reinstalled Flash directly off Finspreads Web Page Doesn't work. All kinds of Anti Virus scans show Nothing wrong etc etc etc.
I also spoke to a second enquires guy who was more helpful and sympathetic and he says that when you get to the greyed out bit you have actually logged in but there seems that its not showing to my computer. He has now filed a Ticket to get Technical help to look into it. Unfortunately he can give no time as to when this will be done! its now 24hrs and I've heard nothing. Not looking good is it.
My Computer is on Windows 7 Pro (64bit) and I have the latest 3 Browsers. IE> Firefox + Google Chrome. Nothing works!
To me its a problem at their end but I can't prove it. I am trying to access my account on someone elses Computer to see it FS works on theirs. It is always possible that Microsoft or some other software company has installed something on my computer after I booted up on Tuesday but it seems unlikely with 3 different browsers. Pls Note that Finspreads has just been taken over and it may have something to do with that and also Finspreads has stopped access to the Old Platform ( without any polite email saying that it will be ending in a few days ) which was also accessed by the same web page, it could have something to do with this.
One thing I hate is a patronising so called customer service agent who automatically blames the customer without politely going over the computer 1st.
NB the 1st guy said there had been no reports about this problem!!!! Which turned out to be false as the 2nd guy said he had had a customer with a problem on Friday. I'm guessing that's you?
One other thing, do you trade often? do you have much money in your account? I trade only a little as I'm building up my experience and don't have tons of money in the account. Is this why we are having this problem?
If there are other traders out there who can access their Finspreads account who are using the same or very similar Op systems pls let me know. Cheers Indextrader888.
