No not in the most obvious sense. Indeed market volatility is an opportunity to earn money, think Gold, Oil, Wheat. Just pull up a chart and look at it over the past few weeks and see what you can learn.
Also every central government bank has “holding ranges” to protect their own currency, if you are a specialist in this area then it becomes second nature especially if you focus on just one pair.
My main concern is the robustness of our trading platforms/accounts. One company I trade for has nearly 100% backend support based in Ukraine. You can imagine what position they are in now. Also I think Meta Trader is either Russian based or connected in some way, so who knows what might happen with sanctions etc? Hopefully someone can provide more information.
Bless Ukraine I wish we could do more for you.

I don’t trade it so can’t comment I’m afraid.
I do have a colleague who has …. And he is very very worried about his exposure currently and also major paranoid about the security of his holdings (and it’s substantial I think).
I don’t think he’s slept for awhile but I do remind him his problem isn’t really a problem considering what others are going through. Needless to say he’s been dumping it and buying gold whenever he can. No doubt buy it back (if it doesn’t get frozen and stolen by our own governments…..)

Yeah. I am worried about the influence of Bitcoin. But lets see...

I think it can affect the market but at the present situation, it has no bad impact.

Good a time as any. There will always be market drivers in some capacity. Now we have war but the underlying and now seemingly forgotten issue was inflation and interest rates (as it always will be). Volatility = opportunity. You just have to learn where the opportunities are.

That’s a different perception from others, but very true. The market is as good as any other day, as it only depends upon the traders as to what they want to trade. You’re right, finding the right opportunities is the only thing traders need to do, rest all remains the same as usual.

Warfare (sadly) brings volatility to the Forex market ........and volatility is the oxygen of trading

This was the point I made above also. Sadly it can make you question the ethics in what you are doing but perhaps donating a portion of any profits made can help one sleep easier at night struggling with this fact.

There is always opportunity in the forex markets!! Reacting early is how the best gains are made

I understand the sentiment behind it but would sooner less volatility in the Markets minus the suffering Ukraine is going through

I think there is enough volatility without war to be honest. Been one massive episode of it for the past 2 years at least now.
