How complex are the OHLC patterns you are looking for - standard ones like hanging man/bearish engufing, that sort of thing, or are you talking about longer term patterns?? It may well be there is already software to do what you want without reinventing the wheel.

The patterns I am looking to identify are leading patterns and not classical patterns, and are based on propriatery angles that I want be able to overlay onto a bar chart and have the software determine trading setups based on predetermined setups as defined by the user, i.e me.
As these ar based on propriatery angles they are unique and as such I need the help of a programmer to develop the software and backtest.
Renumeration methods to be discussed.
