Order Automation

Hi Guys (and gals):

This is my first post and I come to you tonite with a question. Yes, I did a search and after 4 pages of scanning, decided to just say hi and ask my question.

I am looking for a platform/system that can do trade order automation on a basket of futures, about 20 in total. This is what I mean...I have trade entry values & long/short signals already at hand. I have these signals on 20 futures contracts. What I need is a means to trigger these trades and manage them automatically. And, I don't mean simply entering a limit order with OCO's and OTO's for exits and stop and then having it execute. That I can already do. Trouble is, once it's done, it's done. It's also super cumbersome for 20 positions.

It also need to be able to handle trade management. IE: 50 ticks of risk and 100 ticks reward, sell half at objective, and add a trailing stop on the remaining lots.

I hope this makes sense. If not please ask me to explain better. Oh, and I have no fear of programming, so if that's the best way to go, no prob. Yet, I wonder if TradeStation or something like that can do this easily.

Thanks and greetings to all of the T2W'ers from New Jersey, US.

Theo.

Tradestation can do this fairly easily.

How long it will take depends on your coding skills & how complex your trade management rules are.

Tradestation can do this easily, and the coding is pretty easy to learn, even if you are not a coder...

you can do per-portfolio management with tradestation? is this like a global setting or something, didn't think it was possible otherwise...

It has a programming language - you can code whatever you want. I have a basket trading module coded that can accept manual triggers - you just tell it when to go & it selects the instruments, position sizes etc and monitors the trades.

You can even specify the account number you want to use so if you have multiple accounts you can spread across them too.

No problem.
