Novice needs help

Hello all, I'm a complete newbie, so please be gentle with me.

I'm interested in spread betting, but don't really know where to start.

I've considered buying the "Spread Trading Secrets" workbook at £97, but can't help wondering if some of the standard texts available contain the same information at lower cost.

I would be grateful for any recommended titles from members.

I have just recently also purchased this book. Includes good stuff on money management, trading psychology and tactics for a trending market, which is the strategy of this system. The guy who wrote it also, posts on here as Aussietrader and has been very helpful and has responded quickly to all of my emails.

I do recommend this but it depends on your trading strategy as it focuses on the long term trends.

I believe all the information you will ever need can be found at http://212.38.89.86/spreads/. Run by JPWone of T2W, he is an expert at spreadbetting.

I would also say to have a look around T2W. There is an awful lot of threads talking about spreadbetting - it just takes time to look through them.
