Nigel Farage

Oh now this is clever :) Undermining Mili's cost of living waffle by presenting something concrete on tax whilst at the same time stating that highest rate tax @ 40% could stop any protest voters going back to tory.
He's a shrewd operator is ol Nige

Notice he doesn't feel the need to address the Lib policies....I wonder why :LOL::LOL:

Newark UKIP backers defy the polls

Local punters are queueing up to back UKIP at 6/1 to surprise the pollsters to win Thursday’s Newark by-election, according to Ladbrokes.
The bookies reported that they had failed to take a single bet on the Tories in the town’s betting shops on Tuesday.
Despite that, the Tories remain odds-on favourites to retain the seat in what has become a clear two-horse race.

There was also a lot of local interest in the 25/1 quoted for The Bus Pass Elvis Party to finish ahead of the Liberal Democrats. One Labour MP, who must remain nameless, popped into the Market Square bookies to have £10 on what would be a humiliating outcome for Nick Clegg.

Shadsy, head of politics at Ladbrokes, was in Newark on Tuesday and reported: ” Based on the number of punters in our local shops and activists around town, UKIP would be heading for a landslide on Thursday. However, we are sticking with the polls which predict a reasonably comfortable Tory win.”

He’s right. It’s hard to argue with the Ashcroft poll even though his CON leader was inflated by 4% by the allocation of don’t knows to party voted for at GE10.

So if Clogg did finish behind Bus Pass Elvis, do you think he would finally get the message...........and resign !!!

In the unlikely event of Farage winning or even coming close, if we get another hung parliament with actual UKIP MPs (is there actually anyone else in the party apart from Fartage?) then the Tories may end up having to ditch Cameron to cobble together a Cons-UKIP coalition under a different leader.

Just imagine a coalition government of parties led by Farage and Boris !

I'd settle for that...anything is better than Miliballs :)

Interesting timing on the second Tory defection.
Now if just 1 Lab MP has the balls to do the same, this would really put the cat amongst the pigeons.

It's also nice to see that these two MPs have got the balls to stand for re-election now – though no doubt they wouldn't have done so unless the polling suggests they will win. These defections are a good dampener on Dave's strutting of the world stage with his ineffectual and token gesture of more bombing of the Middle East which hasn't worked in the past and is unlikely to work now - on its own.

A leading politician is not safe, even at 3.42 a.m., in Malta! One lesson that Nigel has not learned.

Whether he is speaking the truth does not matter, pictures speak louder than words and, even if he is speaking them, a lot of people won't believe him.

True enough. People in the limelight literally have no possibility of a personal life in today's global society.

Reckless by name reckless by nature. Not a chance of re-election under his new colours.

Carswell stand a bit more of a chance as Clacton is full of old people that can't even remember to get out of their chairs before they pee so remembering which party he's with will not be that much of an issue.

Quite possibly a likely scenario. But apparently the polls indicate a decent win for Carswell and the omens also good for reckless Reckless. But remember the Scottish poll: it would seem a lot of people didn't tell the truth to the pollsters (in the best political tradition of course, LOL). Either way, Dave is probably not sleeping too well.

Yep, why bother truth when you have propaganda. Especially when youre pitching it to the general public.

Still, from what I have seen over the weekend and this morning, he does not apear to have created any harm to himself.

The Reckless defection to UKIP has overshadowed all his sins!

If indeed he committed any sins split ;)
