Hi im new to trading in need of some serious help if someone with real time experience successful or failure please respond looking to take the first steps. Im also trying to communicate with real people not sales personal trying to sell me anything.

What are you invester trader i was asking to speak to a real person ive been doing research for a while now im looking to communicate

What do you need help with? Finding literature? Learning the jargon? Setting up an account? There are dozens of people on these forums with plenty of experience and can answer just about any question you have about getting started. So - ask away.

If you want to succeed in trading these days - you need to learn how to develop, test, and automate trading strategies. These days trading is becoming more and more automated. Read literature on strategy development, some programming , and backtesting.

Here is source of backtesting information you may find useful, but there are many, many available online, just Google it..

Morning dub,

I think everyone here is trying to say that you need to invest your time (not your money) in learning this business for yourself. Nobody can help you with anything until you give them something to work with.

As DB suggested, read the beginner stickies, arm yourself with knowledge and practice, then others may be able to assist when you have specific questions.

Maybe try this.

If thats the case then dont visit the links mentioned above as they are for vendors who are trying to sell you something .

Learning to trade is a long road and a difficult one it will take years .

Maybe its safe to say that this forum is not geared towards stocks traders , maybe you will find better answers somewhere else , but nontheless lurk the old threads here there's alot of useful info in general .

I would start with this:

http://www.amazon.com/Technical-Analysis-Financial-Markets-Comprehensive/dp/0735200661.

I only day trade the majors, here I have learned levels can be important and how price action respond to them.

A good book to read on PA is this:

or this

You do not need to trade their way, but the writing can help you understand the battle between bear and bulls on the chart.

There is not a right or wrong way, you need to find a way which make sense to you.

At the end when taking a trade is effortless than you know.

Hello,
I will share my experience:

1. I found a tutorial to learn the forex basics. There are many online and free tutorials which you could follow.
2. I' am searching for a Broker to which fill all the points given by timsk at http://www.trade2win.com/boards/brokerages/207072-how-select-broker.html
3. Contact several Brokers and ask them to explain me the conditions based on this article.
4. If I am happy with the Broker's answer I open a demo account and check their platforms.

You could do the same, if you like my idea.

I really do appreciate all your guys input maybe im not cleary explaining myself i really do want to put in the time and do the research but how do i get real experience on working with strategies and reading actual charts and learning calls and puts with out having somthing set up infront of me. I continue to hear never use real capital unless i have a working strategy but how do i develope one if i never put in actual trade?

You should ask for more specific questions. I don't think that a professional will offer his services or share his experience for free. Also you could ask Brokers specific questions. Then you could clarify a lot and start creating a plan like I do and follow it.

Hi Dub

I've started a blog a couple of weeks ago where I post some thoughts and analysis just to stop me getting too bored when I'm trading. Don't worry though, I'm not selling anything, just my trading ideas and what I'm watching.

Take a look: www.fxjunkies.co.uk
