I'm starting a thread with the aim of replicating - as close as possible - an indicator I used in my trading career.
It was part of a level 2 bundle, easy to use, & one of my favorites.
I'm not a coder, just an old retired trader keeping his hand in with some private trading.
Never tried Fx previously, always said I would like to, and now I have the time.
I,m not sure what it's genre is. It's part breakout, & part target/stop. You'll have to make up your own minds. What I can say is that as long as your broker's technology is up to it...It'll work.
The Indicator I used had an element of volatility built in...rumour had it Black-Scholes
or part of the option pricing model was used. But that's just speculation.
If we take it one step at a time, it will give my old brain time to absorb what comes back!
Here goes:
The first step is to amend the Chine Breakout Alert.
We will be doing more to it later...get to know it.
First...We need to start the Chine Break Alert (Left side) equal to the Springer SR levels v3-mod.
Second...Shorten the right side until it just protrudes beyond the text portion of the Springer lines, and add current value to that end.
If we can achieve that... the rest is horrendous!
Over to whom ever wants to run with it.
