My proposals for improved T2W

Obfustucation of the issue. The user in question's only crime was to mention his password.

Secondly, as zupcon rightly points out there's been plenty of porn on t2w, it even used to be something of a tradition!

.....Well......I would think that we have to improve then.....No more porn on web...!!

.....After all we are all civilised people with family and children around us when we are on web...!

.....Don't you think...?

.....CIVILISED is that when you have a son of 12 and daughter of age 14 sitting next you in evening when you are on web, you would NOT expect to see image like that posted by CIVILISED people....!!

Most people on this site probably have children or other members of family around them when browsing..!!

....What inclination you have in your own world, and what human form you want to see at your disposal, is entirely up to you...!!...There are sites for that...!

If it where not for pornography, the web (and a bunch of other mobile technologies) probably wouldnt be anywhere near their current state of development.

It is the human way. The pioneers are always shot down for minor moral failings when without them we'd be trying to use square wheels.

That, my friends, is "civilisation". It is an antonym of itself.

In any case none of this is a reason to have the user in question banned.

I think I have made my points clear in a way I understand it.....and that is it...!!

You may continue this discussion till cows come home...But I have no time to indulge in crap discussion like this...!

I would require no lecture or education from you, as there is nothing further to be gained...!

All the best..!

Zambuck is on a very sticky wicket. The sites guidelines quite clearly state that members should not post materials of a pornographic nature, and members might therefore assume anyone in violation would be dealt with harshly.

The problem is that an ex member violating these guidelines was banned by a moderator. That moderator gave his time on a voluntary basis for the good of the community, and implimented rules that are clear and consise.

However the moderators decision was over-ruled by a paid member of T2W staff, and the member was reinstated.

Despite Zambuck's indignation, the reality of the situation is this: A precedant has been set, and the management of the site are happy to override rules relating to the posting of offensive materials, if its in the commercial interest of the site, and thats EXACTLY how it should be.

Lets not forget, the majority of the membership who expressed an opinion took a negative view of that decision, it was the site's management who decided that posting pornograpic images was aceptable behaviour.

Its therefore impossible for a moderator to hold the moral high ground on this issue given the sites history

I have had to sign documents for every exchange I have an ITM on stating that I am responsible for all trades done through my ITM. This is made very clear in the exchange rules.

There is no such proviso in t2w rules. It is unreasonable to hold someone responsible for the posts made under their account when it wasn't them.

A precedent was not set in that case. Sharky reversed the appealed decision .

A bit like how the house of lords can override the High court which can override the county court. The lower precedants are wiped out and the highest one stands.

That was only reversed because it was child porn and bestiality though. Had it been relatively vanilla, or even vaguely legal stuff then it would have been fine.

The fact that a paid member of staff took that decision in the first instance is the issue.

I think we have quite a few issues with the "Prosecution's case" w.r.t. TF tbh, and I think that a reasonable doubt would sucessfuly have been raised in the minds of any decent jury.

I cannot believe T2W has hired a homophobe as a staff member.

Queer Power!!!

leading to his ban; if the sequences of event progressed as mentioned in this thread, i can only conclude you guys made a mistake by banning him.

Here why I think banning him was wrong.

Only ''crime'' he supposed to commit is; by disclosing his password he allowed prohibited materials to be posted in t2W.

If what i read is true, he didn't do that. He thought his account was hacked therefore his password is known to the hacker/s. With this, he approached to arabian and asked his help to inform T2W staff . Probably because he was thinking that , his password will be cancelled very shortly ; he mentioned his password to arabian stating that , it was a foolish act to choose that one. ( in his mind password known to the hacker/s anyway.)

But Arabian being the ass he is, instead of, for once doing a semi decent thing, he saw opportunity for lulz. ( ahhh... don't I hate lulz?) and reposted TF's message to him for all to see. Yes TF was barking stupid by trusting arabian. But (if what i read in this thread is true) you can not ban him for that.

fwiw I don't really mind if, to satisfy the ban fever of the staff, I'm banned in his place, I've had a good run :D

There is no such thing as a T2W advisor any more.

In any case I think I'm right in saying TF trusts me perfectly well thanks :)

Absolutely not! They always say; they apply due diligence before making important decisions. If they think they got this decision wrong, they simply should revoke it.
( As well as being ''stupid boy''; also being untrustworthy not good enough reason to get banned )
