I finally developed a stock trading strategy to beat my own investing strategy that I started in the end of 2023. The goal was to develop a strategy that would avoid entering during bad periods like around Covid-19 and 2022, when my long term strategy would have dropped by 30% and 60% respectively.
Look how well it does, considering the fact that it is not optimized on those periods. +750% in 10 years. The DD in 2022 is only 21%. I am thinking about ways that people can copy it. IBKR advisors? Any other ideas?

It is very likely that it can be implemented with code, right? If you need it, I can offer help.

Thank you, but I already coded it. Otherwise I wouldn't be able to back test it and upload the report in the post.

i have a working system im tired of manually trading. my te lagram id is yoc444 if you're down to talk and build something cool

How is it going with the strategy?
I started it on a live account (Darwinex) in May. It's slow in the meantime. As you can see, the swaps "ate" half the profit. I guess it's not a good idea to run it through CFD. I think I need to somehow connect it to my IBKR account. But currently I am more concentrated on my forex strategy.

Hi, it goes pretty well. It is now on Darwinex. I don't know if I am allowed to share links here. You can find my strategies in the Darwins forum, here on T2W.

Thanks for your sharing, can you share more about your strategy?
Hi, it is a trading strategy that uses several indicators that I won't reveal, but I can tell that it is based on my investing strategy . I developed it by back testing the last 20 years. The trading strategy is supposed to reach a much bigger return with a better RF. It was backtested 10 years back. In the previous reply I told where it can be viewed and followed.

I’ve built a powerful software solution that integrates directly with Interactive Brokers, giving you complete control over your trading strategies. Whether you want to design custom patterns, define your own levels, or automate order placement, this platform gives you the freedom to build exactly what you need.

With C# scripting support, you’re not limited by predefined templates – you can shape your strategy however you want. If you’re looking for a truly flexible solution, get in touch with me to explore pricing and possibilities.

I would like to have a bridge from MT5 to IBKR's platform. But I don't think it's possible, is it?

Solid backtest. To avoid swaps eating edge, consider futures or IBKR margin vs CFDs. Could you share out-of-sample results + live equity curve? Also trade count, max DD, and worst peak-to-valley stretch would help evaluate robustness.

Thank you! You are correct, trading CFDs is too expensive, even though still profitable with this strategy. I have an account on IBKR. I run there my investing strategy. I guess I should translate this trading EA of mine to TWS or maybe use a bridge (Idk if exists). But my IBKR account doesn't have leverage, so I need to see if this all will be worth it.

I didn't even do the out-of-sample test for this strategy, because it is greatly based on my investing strategy, that was validated through lots of out-of-sample tests and I am absolutely confident in it. But you are right, I should validate the trading strategy the same way. I will.

The live account has still made only 1 trade, so no point to watch its curve yet.
