Ill answer this question for you. What you need to do is open a Margin and/or Cash account with a bank. Banks will allow you to real-time transfer between your bank account and your cash/margin account.
However, based on what you are saying it sounds like you are using a place like Etrade/QuestTrade...they might allow you to do trades for 9 bucks a trade but take 3 days to transfer funds into your bank.
If you set up an account through a bank they will often times make you pay a 25-28 dollar fee everytime you trade unless your a frequent trader. What I mean by frequent is probably at least 100 trades or more a month, then you can probably trade for like 4-9 bucks.
In the event you are a frequent trader Id recommend setting up a CASH/MARGIN account through your bank so you can have real-time transfers of your funds and cheap trading fee's. If you arent a frequent trader and dont want to open an account through your bank, the unfortunately you are stuck with the wait times.
Also one last thing, transferring funds from your trading account to your bank, is like paying a bill online, once you pay the bill from your bank, it takes two or three days for the transfer to go through. Its the same with transferring funds from your trading account. A transfer is initiated, the funds are confirmed in the account, then transferred to the bank, the bank has to accept the funds during their "updating" periods, then once the transfer is accepted you will see it in your account. Its just a matter of how long your trading place takes to initiate the fund transfer and how quickly your bank accepts it, generally its 1-3 days.
