Metatrader 4 history check.

Just wondered if any one out there can help with a problem i have with MT4.I can scroll back to view the previous weeks history but can not hold it there for more than a few seconds before it returns to the present time.How can i hold the chart where i want it?

I normally use two sets... one opened in "offline mode"

Check "File -> Open offline"

MT4 has an autoscroll facility that you need to turn off.

If you look on the toolbar there an icon with a small green triange (usually located to the right of the +/- icons)

you toggle autoscroll on and off using this little button. If you turn it OFF you can scroll back through history without the chart updating
