Does anyone know if the LSE publishes data akin to the NYSE's $UVOL, $DVOL, $VIX etc?

Hi Trevor,

I maybe wrong, but I think you’ll find that you need to use a software package to calculate these data for you.

There are two that I know about that can do this for you and these are: AIQ and Technical Analyst; although there maybe others. Here are some links: http://www.aiqsystems.com/cgi-bin/search.pl?start=0&perPage=10&search=market+breadth and http://www.updata.co.uk/downloadandgo/manuals/MarketBreadth.pdf

Marketscreen.com is an interesting site and it contain a useful guide and description of at least twenty of these indicators and you'll find these in the reference section here: http://www.marketscreen.com/help/atoz/default.asp

I know this doesn’t really answer your question, but I hope it helps.

Cheers

Hi MayFly

Doesn't answer my question  You would think that the LSE doesn't want Joe punter to have an insight into what the market is doing. MarketScreen is definitely one to add to the favourites list though. Thanks.
