hi
my ig index account wont allow me to log in.
It says account suspended.

my ig markets account wont show me any quick charts. says error, not data available.

IG support told me they both should be working.
But they sent me PC troubleshooting guides.

Anyone here use Apple Macintosh?
Any idea on solution?

Im using firefox for the trading sites. But the problems persist on all browsers.
Opera/safari/firefox.

Maybe the way i use internet is not the best: i have two diff browsers open with up to 10 to 20 tabs open in each + the advanced charting java IT charting thing....

Mac has never been /solid/smooth with the trading sites.

cheers.

I don't know if you've overcome this by now; chances are you would've. But still, I use IG Index and I'm running off a MacBook, and what I've come to determine is that:

Firefox = slow, glitchy, especially the more addons/plug-ins you have
Google Chrome = pretty decent, looks and "feels" like Firefox, but still a bit jittery
Safari = very fast, works every time.

Obviously when it comes to binaries constantly changing every second, you definitely don't want to use a browser that would delay it or accidentally force quit etc etc. So now I just stick to Safari when I'm trading. Safari turned on, every other application turned off (except maybe Word to scribble some stuff on) and it works almost perfectly :)

If you're saying that you can't even gain access to the homepage or PureDeal platform without it failing then there's something strange going on...
1st port of call - IG Index (obv.) call or get the full setup documents
2nd choice - Delete Safari completely, then re-download (don't worry, you won't lose bookmarks or anything)
3rd and last -if it still fails then you should download Google Chrome and give that one a try.

If you do all that to no avail then... well.. that sucks :( but it would mean is was most likely an admin error or something. I'm well aware that this thread was posted late(ish) 2009, so you may have already figured something... changed some preferences or even bought a cheap PC (ugly lookin' things :p) for this particular use.

Hope this helps! And if you've already fixed it then I direct this post to other Mac users who are experiencing annoying glitches :)

I have a similar problem with my freshly installed macbook pro too.
When i log in, everything are scrambled like broken codes... (never happened before fresh installation)
But my PowerMac with the same safari version works perfectly fine.. a bit annoying.

I updated my flash player, empty cache, restarted my machine.. no luck.

Gonna find a fix this weekend when i have more time.

Same for Google Chrome..
Maybe igindex doesn't like me new SSD? :p

hi again...ngdesign, no idea.

a new problem, ig index advanced charts do not work on any browser.
they were a few weeks ago. i asked them, they sent a clear java cache guide,
but when i try to follow it, my java crashes.

i then made a clone of my mac on external, updated osx (as my version was old), booted from that, but ig advanced charts still not working on any browser (up to date browsers too).

tried to follow their empty java cache guide on new osx, it doesnt match my settings, tried, java crashes....

any ideas anyone?

thanks.
