My Trade setups for 2 night are as follow:
I can also see a reverse head and shoulders..mmm not too confident thought

1st order at 1.8475 with a stop of 1.8500 and a limit of 1.8435
2nd order at 1.8355 with a stop of 1.8344 no limit.....

I would like to go short at this point because I think there is a big gap to fill ie 1.8425 ti atleast 1.8365..let see and give it some time

I will be up most of the night as I am targeting about 50 pips minimum lets see if I can achieve this....

Was I up most of the night naa....good thing
If you would have followed this one as per my graph that would have been 50 pips mate.
So my total is
43 pips for the night

Isn't it harder to trade the japanese session as the movement is less and the spread is the same? Or is it more predictable to make up for that?

In the office now.

short 8395 closed at 8350: 45pips --> 21+45 = 66pips for the day

filled:
.1 long at 8355, limit 8398
.1 long at 8375, limit 8404
.1 short at 8344, limit 8312

Looks like it's going to be a range play for a bit, 20-60.

Chocolate,

Japan is more predictable, usually starting out going down, then up (see earlier posts).
Very often the bounces occur around nearest resistance and support.

What was unusual last night is that it simply went down, very slowly. Might be holiday-related.

No big news tomorrow, figure another choppy day. :cheesy:

Except for BOE(12.00) & ECB(12.45) Interest Rate announcements and some US Labor data at 1.30. Hopefully that lot will clear the chop :!:

I was expecting the test of 8475 again today...let see what the votes look like

seriously impressed by marmoset.

by my calculations;
open position closed ( sh 8395 lim 8350 ) for + 45.

todays entry ( ln 8355 lim ) for + 43.

from last nights open positions:
5 long, avg = 8432.8
4 short avg = 8319.25.

pivot of open positions: 8382.33.

whatever the actual trades, the underlying concept is certainly worth consideration.
( this idea of having multiple long and short with limits, with outlier safety nets )

keep posting marmoset. :)

EDIT: many small spelling and numerical errors corrected.

Hey trendie, you're jumping the gun

closed:
filled:
.1 long at 8355, limit 8398: +43
.1 long at 8375, limit 8404: +29
------
+72
pipcount so far:
66 + 72 = 138

Actually I'm aching to put in a short at 8395 with a limit at 65 and a long at 8364 back up to 8397, but I'm held captive in a cubicle farm :(

Oh well, can't have it all. Next three weeks I'm working NY shift, so I got the London to fool around in.

Hey, what happened?

I was taking into account an "open position" from last night.
a short ( 8395 with limit at 8350 ) got hit. thats why I counted + 45, in addition to the above.

Another one bites the dust :cheesy:

closed: long .1 8406 at 8445: 39pips

138 + 39 = 177 pips

Seems I missed a fill somewhere:

short .1 at 8430 limit at 8404

edited to add:
must have been sleepy there, normally I'd have put the entry at 44-48, with the limit at 12-15

2nd edit:
or is that the one with entry at 52 with limit at 12  been breaking my own game rules methinks

Was the low at 8400? If so: ka-ching!

closed 8430 at 8404: 26 pips

177 + 26 = 203pips

1st was 1,2,3,Low entry #2 point P/L +21 pips

Hi Mr Black,

Rh are Ross Hooks, right?

First time I get to see them implemented in real life (but then again, I normally don't hang around forums when I'm actively trading either).

New order has been placed at 1.8475 with a stop at 1.8505 and 1.8435 and then 1.8405

Ka-Ching!

closed:
long .1 at 8455 from 8424: 31pips
long .1 at 8456 from 8424: 32pips

203 + 31 +32 = 266pips

filled:
short .1 at 8452, limit at 8412

Figure that's why I put it there, for when the old red hedges get taken out.
