I have got two monitors connected to one computer. On one screen sometimes I get broken black lines which are vibrating. Could this be magnetic interference?. How can I solve this problem? Help much appreciated. Thanks

Under what circumstances do you get the black lines?

What happens just before/during/after you get the lines?

Do you get the lines when it's the only monitor connected?

Is it an old bit of kit?

Are you near any other electrical equipment?

How long has this been happening and what changed (locally/environmentally) just before it started happening?

You need to set the refresh rate to different frequencies on each monitor and that may do the trick.

I think so, yes, because I once used to get the same thing if I used anything with a nickel-cadmium battery too close to the monitor. Try the suggestions above, for sure. Also it might be worth trying plugging one of them in with a long lead in a different place, if possible. Certainly sounds like interference of some sort.
