Indicies Volume Data - split buy/sell

Hi

I have been looking on the web for free volume data for each of the following indexes - FTSE 100, S&P 500 and DJIA. I want to build a pressure index and would only require daily FTSE Sell volume total xxxx and FTSE buy Volume total and same for other two indexes. Any idea of where i can get this info

are you looking at the cash or futures indicies for buy/sell volume?
also there different kinds of buy/sell volume data like bid/ask volume,
uptick/downtick volume and advance/decline volume.
