Im short with IG on the same and that would have stopped me out. Just checked an i'm still open so must have been a glitch on your chart.

I got this advice once :
"IG is best when you keep v-e-r-y large stops and can keep your position from 2 weeks to 3 months".

If it was from someone who worked there i'd believe you.

Personally i dont go down the route of putting blame on the brokers as thats just
sour grapes and will stop me being where i wanna be on my trading path.

Thanks anyway(y)

I don't trade with IG, but I see similar spikes on my iii account some times. Usually the price goes into 'indicative' so that it doesn't trigger any trades.

However, once I had a limit order on Oil and it got triggered by a spike, which only showed on their chart. I contacted their customer service desk who accepted it was a glitch in their software and closed the trade and refunded the losses.

In my views IG is a very good spread betting company.
They also run some very good seminars in the evening ( 18:30-20:00), with free sandwich and wine. Once in a while all can be washed down with some champagne. So I am more than pleased with them.
This advice was given by themselves as many punters had difficulties day trading profitably.

They have spike from time to time but it will not effect your trade , check this drop at Cable and wireless ...
