Not really !

Well actually I got in long on the close of the 30min 0800 master bull engulf x 12 thrust candle at 0830 and held for +23 pips only (doh !)...I should have held for more of course (shoulda woulda coulda !) The 0800 1hr candle closed as a master bullish engulf x 11 thrust b/o of the previous H on that t/f..(double Doh!!) but I was away from the desk....it is shown below.

My 2nd and final trade today came at the potential sbr/res of bottom half of the previous 4hr swing hi (just above weds's hi) , confluence with Daily R1 and descending 1hr trend line - a short based on classic regular bearish divergence set-ups to 5min t/f...3min shown below as an eg...note the double osma div (grey oscillator at top) +9pips.

I did see the 5min hidden divergence set-up at the pullback lo off that 5817 Hi but didn't trade it.

Ok well not to worry, I just figured today wudda been a slam dunk.

Given that you rate/score your trade set ups, do you also vary stake according to the quality of the aforementioned?

Yeh it's the reason for rating the set-ups..so for eg that 30min bullish master engulf x 12 thrust was rated B+ (there was no b/o) on a scale A+,A-,B+,B , whereas had I have been at desk for the subsequent 1hr bullish master thrust engulf x 11 b/o this was rated A- so more risk would have been employed on that. These 2 are of course are pure PA set-ups, the other indy/pa based set-ups are similarly rated...the one shown being B+ for eg. There aren't many A+ but a fair smattering of A- and typically B+ are those that are most traded. The ratings are awarded by the set-ups satisfying certain criteria. As you know not all set-ups are created equal and it makes more sense to up the leverage on the better quality ones.

Yes and I suppose most traders won't be as organised as they should be (me included) but this seems like an excellent way to go.

cheers
