How to make money Trading Seasonal Patterns in Forex

With regards to the above post.....
1. The intrest rate cut from the fed of 0.25% has been priced in....so no change their...
2.BoJ will hold the intrest rate..no changes their....

so what does this mean...
A. Cable higher.
B.Carry Trades fine and in place.
c.Gives the dow to finish its final run to the 650 level....

How does this affect the trades...
A.I can take my short position if the dow goes to my level yielding my 500 point
B.I can get about 200 points on cable on my long position...

These are my thoughts.....

Hi everyone,

When talking about forex and commodities, never forget that the major point is that they do not have the very long term bullish orientation that stock markets show.

So, by definition, they are more prone to show cyclical/seasonnal patterns

Try the recently released TradeMiner by Gecko Software (TradeMiner - Advanced Trading Software For Advanced Traders). They have versions for forex, futures and US stocks, all very reasonably priced.

Alternatively, you can do this kind of thing on a spreadsheet if you have historical data (and the time).

I don't use it any more as my style has changed. If you are interested in trades over a few days then it can be interesting to look at. However, only as a confirming signal. I wouldn't use it as a primary indicator.

Choose a forex broker or you can trade by yourself. Make this decision based on how comfortable you feel. You can trade at anytime of the day because the Foreign Exchange market operates 24 hours a day.
