Hi!

I have found several sites which offer free data feed and this would be probably the best one - if I would know, how to use it :cheesy:

http://www.dukascopy.net/english/cquotes/CSV/

I don´t know where is the catch, because everything seems to work OK (you can type in any symbol, choose the date range and download the data - for free and with no registration), but I´m not sure, if it´s compatible with the MetaStock Downloader.

I just can´t find a way, how to correctly convert this .CSV files... The date range seems pretty incompatible to me, but maybe there is a way how to fix this.

Does anyone, by any chance, uses this data feed or knows how could be this data converted in MetaStock compatible format? I´m using MetaStock 9.1 EOD.

Thanks!

Don't know about that site but:

http://www.eoddata.com/

Does free EOD date for Metastock - to my knowledge the data is good.

Hi Flubba,

EODdata.com works very good for me, but it´s limiting, that I need to download the data for each day separately and that I´m limited to one month worth of data.

The Dukascopy.net would be perfect for me, since I´m more into fundamentals and I would use TA only to establish the trend of the stock and similar other basic stuff with customized parameters.

The formats are close, you could import into into excel and shift the columns about. Do you use the 7 or 8 column version from EODData?

It seems that I did not really explore the EODData as I should.

Only the data for stock indexes requires to be downloaded day by day, while I can download the EOD data for any stock symbol that I chose, from 1.1.2005, till the present date.

The data importing to the MetaStock works perfectly fine now.

Still, the Dukascopy.net would be also a great resource to use, since it seems, that you can get the data for any time period that you wish for - including stock indexes.

I use the 8 coulumn version of the EODData. Are there any other options?

The Dukascopy.net data looks like this:

Date,Open,High,Low,Close,Volume,Adj. Close*
22-Nov-05,3.66,3.72,3.59,3.72,206200,3.72
21-Nov-05,3.55,3.75,3.46,3.65,185200,3.65
18-Nov-05,3.46,3.68,3.40,3.60,169000,3.60
