How to buy American Stocks from Colombia?

Hello, I´m new in trading stocks, I live in Colombia and I´ve been trying to open a brokerage account to trade American Stocks, pennystocks mostly. So far I haven´t been able to do so because every american brokerage demands Social Security number and as I´m not American, I don´t have one. Does anyone know any platform that I can use to do this from Colombia?

Try www.interactivebrokers.com the per share commission may be expensive for penny stocks though. A per ticket charge would be better. Many people in Europe and Asia use IB. Not sure about South America.

IB do ask for the equivalent to a social security number from your country. Do you have that in Columbia? They also want a local tax number. I don't think they check these though.
