How to become a Commodity Broker UK

First of all...there is a difference between a commodity broker and a stock broker right? From what I've read on the net.

So where can one train to be a licensed commodity broker? What exams are needed? I'm a UK citizen and can't find any information on training to be a commodity broker in england!! Am I searching for the wrong thing?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hello guys,

I am based in the UK and also want to open my own brokerage firm in the UK. At the moment it will just be a one man start-up operation.

As the OP has stated, there is a lot of information on how to open a brokerage in the states but not much out there for people who want to base there brokerage in the UK.

Could the OP or anyone else shed some light as to the steps required to open a commodities brokerage in the UK legally.
