Can someone please tell me if there is a way of seeing the past threads that i have contributed towards without having to work my way through a mass of ones that i havent..

An easy way is to click on your name in one of your posts - you will get a little menu and you choose "Find more posts by".

There are ways using the UserCP and My Profile links at the top of pages, but I can never remember how to use that.

any thread you post to you automatically become subscribed to.
any thread you want to keep track of, you can subscribe to through "Thread Tools".
Then, from "Qucik Links" drop-down, select "Subscribed Threads".

you then have a list of all the threads you have posted on and/or subscribed to.
