Greece may exit the Euro ?

from what I understand there are many many rules and regs the greeks will have to comply with under the ECB terms to reintroduce the drachma ............so they don't just soft launch / role out a parallel currency ...even though it sounds logical to us ;).........the last thing they need is a Zimbabwean drachma

N
Not if they give ECB and everybody else the finger.
Just because Its a state issued currency, does not mean you have to hyperinflate. Unless you actually want to impoverish the people.

I'm a bit lost here. Who's hyperventilating???? :cheesy:

Just over two hours to the Greek default.
Comrade Tsipras must be proud of his achievement and many lies.
Wander how much Ouzo and Raki has been consumed celebrating with comrade Varoufakis.
Somebody by mistake must have handed him telephone, so he demanded another bailout and some round decimal amount of billions of Euros, not Drachmas.:LOL::LOL:

The IMF will not be calling it default. They will be labelling it "in arrears". It is as if changing what they call it, will change the situation. If only changing the name could make it so.

The merican I reckon. Hyperhebetudinous. Streatham dialect B!tch! Innit! :drunk:

Come on! Get even more upset for me. You are only making it worse for yourself. You have reverted to baby talk. How cute!

Upset? naaaaa bruv. Typical merican misinterpretation of the English language. In Irish we call it 'the crack'. Or taking of de pizz in Croydon dialect.
Either way, its utterly justified when any nugget uses a milton friedman (god rest your soul mf) video to express an unknowingly non existent level of understanding.
You are merican, dont worry,Is normal.. we understand. :cheesy::drunk:

Well, it obviously bothered you enough to write all those about me. Embrace your socialist left wing label as I have embraced my capitalist label.

I did merican but.. sometimes.... LuLz is too strong!

Drink?

Croydon, commuter town on the wrong side tracks  It sounds like something that might get stuck in your kidneys. It also reminds me of Brooklyn.

The magic of Croydon: is London's punchline having the last laugh?
When the capital banned skyscrapers in the 1960s, Croydon stepped in with concrete towers and flyovers that made it a byword for urban devastation. Fifty years later, this most unloved suburb may finally be ready to love itself

Grexit all but assured

Greece Defaults on IMF Loan Despite New Push for Bailout Aid

Greece just became the first first-world country to default on the IMF.

Greek Default May Ultimately Be The Best Bet For The U.S.

Greece's default may set the stage for a permanent solution to the country's debt crisis. This will remove the headache from the USA's perspective.

Greece’s economic problems do not have a direct effect on U.S. trade. For the most part, Greece is a small trading partner. Last year, Greece purchased $773.2 million in goods from the U.S. The U.S. imported $1.05 billion from Greece (I'm guessing this is olive oil), according to the United States Census Bureau. By contrast, the U.S. imported $53.9 billion from the United Kingdom last year, and exported $54.4 billion to the country.

Obama is directing the narrative for the Greek default aftermath. He has stated that the default will have little effect upon the American market. By saying this, it gives American investors confidence, which in turn creates a self-fulfilling prophecy. They behave as though nothing has happened and the market will remain stable; thus, increasing their confidence in the market further.

Mekerl says if the Euro fails Europe fails.......and here you have it....clear and crispy.

Strange you should say this as it is similar to what my local fish & chip shop owner, who's from Cyprus said.

What will be, will be. (y)

He said they had the same crises in Cyprus and nothing came of it. He would like Greece to remain in EU and thinks they will but was quite relaxed about it.

Great guy. (y)
