I use ShareScope end of day. But, it only supports UK securities. I am looking for a similar software for US stocks. Can anyone recommend a good & not expensice software I can look at. I am interested New High/Low search filters like the ones in Sharescope

Cheers,
SV.

in my opinion you can't do better than TC2000 for the money.

They will send you the full program and backdata on a CD for free and you can play with this as long as you like at no cost before you pay $29.95 per month to start updating daily. You can also update on 20 min delayed thru the day so that you can screen for your favourite setups during market hours.

Take a look at http://www.stockwiz.com/
This is a low cost EOD US Stocks chart and filtering solution. The program is a free download as are the datbases. The daily update subscription is only about 20 US Dollars per month.
It allows you to write your own indicator formulas and there is also free system tester program.

I tried this myself for a few months, but the software is only average, I'm afraid, no where near as good as Sharescope, but as its free to try and easy to subscribe & cancel, it may be worth investigating.

....Is it possible to export data from TC2000 for use in packages like Metastock..??

....Are securities listed in sectors etc..??..

Zambuck - yes to both.

Although I have never used it, there is a "smart export to Metastock" option under the "Data" menu.

All sectors are listed, and having selected your index or sector, you can then order the list of constituents by any other criteria you care to think of.
