A genious or a bad host?

I think these pamby superstars take them selves far too seriously and it is nice to have a fresh Ricky Gervais perspective to lighten them up a little.

I wasn't able to watch the Golden Globe, but from what I've read, Gervais must have been reprimanded thus, the change of tone. Was he really that offensive in his jokes?

He was better than that.

I read he will be called back next year...

It is now turning into an expected ritual as to how offensive he can get.

The whole Globe will be awaiting with abated breath at how he can top last years show and who will top him... :cheesy:

According a recent online report , Ricky Gervais is worth over £53 million ($85.7 million).

Writing on his official blog, the Office creator confirmed the figure but said that much of his income is taxed by the government.

"Wow! I think there must be a leak at my accountant's. They are of course spot on," he said of the news.

"I know it sounds a lot, but remember, I donate a lot of this to good causes (the Inland Revenue mainly)."
