NVP FXCorrelator - Forex Scalper Trading View

Hi All

I used to post my Forex market observations/calls on Forexmospherians live call thread most mornings ..........(RIP)

with the departure of F from these forums to pastures new (I suspect) I wanted to still keep this going .......as it is part of my routine anyway and I enjoy it

but I didn't want to add the volume/content to my current main thread which is now a beast with over 1.3 million views and +/- 20,000 posts ......I'll keep this running for usual generic observations and Q&A's

http://www.trade2win.com/boards/forex/71854-correlation-trading-basic-ideas-strategies.html

SO - if anyone has questions regarding what I do and how I do it can you go to my other long running thread and ask there ?.....lets keep this thread scalp focussed and on the live market signals/patterns as I see them ?

so here we go - I have not called it "Live calls" as it is simply not that ...........its my take on what the market is presenting at that time re scalping opportunities .........and if I call I call........its therefore not a journal

this is my world of relative Currency dynamics/strengths and patterns ........something I have been doing since the early 2000's when I returned to trading (I started in early 80's) and decided to specialise in the embryonic world of Forex Strengthmeter dynamics (well - embryonic at that time) frequented only by Quants, Programming geeks and Phd jockeys ..and the Banks and Trading houses that were willing to pay the small fortunes to sponsor them .........

now every free site has a forex Strengthmeter or perhaps currency meter as an add on free option ...........a powerful tool if tuned correctly and in the right trained hands.........which from my humble experience of this subject remains perhaps less than 5% who use them......

so no fanfares no whistles.....lets get back to normal eh ?

as people know I am not a F/T trader at present ......so this will run most days up to 8am .........and I sometimes pop back in the day if I have a break ......some days I wont get to the screen if I need to be on early calls to the far east so apologies if it is a little eratic at times .....

I hope to return to trading F/T probably in 2017 when my F/T consultancy gigs end .........but until then I just enjoy keeping my hand in .........once a trader always a trader (y)

cheers :smart:

this mornings market (from 6am)

Buys - Early Euro , then AUD and more recently Yen got to low 30 pips positive
Sells - Early Yen , then eventually Cad and GBP fell....GBP down to -20 pips

yen is a notorious swinger and hasn't disappointed , GBP another ususal candidate for the alpha moves .............I will always go to Yen and GBP fist for alpha partners in my scalping .................will then look to hang the usd off them and then secondary currencies if USD is not appropriate

ok just wanted to get this happening and started this morning .....i'm nearly out of time

this morning the g8 has entered 3 decent volatility phases (ie currencies trending) ........the main (2nd) thrust started around 6.46 and went all the way through to around 7.09 am ..........that was the money time / money window

3rd move was around 7.21 am and still moving (key Time Window 21 minutes past the hour).........the big movers are still from then

BUYS - Yen , then later USD ( a dynamic partnership I like to run together for scalps)
Sells - GBP , CAD , a little NZD

best scalp moves ?

Ucad buys
EA buys (wildcard that dude)
NU sells
GU sells
UJ sells

hang in there ...........

I tend to step back and reset a lot of my indicators after 11ish...........London is over

heres what I see from 12pm today .......as we await the us action

GBP - still getting hammered.....another 50 pips down from 12pm ..that's only 38 mins ago !

GU is really the only decent pair to be riding at present

I would also be riding as secondary options

EA buys ..........possibly

but with the domination of the GBP sells and usd being bull so far its a no brainer

4248............tests happening ..........50 coming under pressure

my G8 volatility is falling so I shouldn't be looking for trades .....I need the G8 to be signalling to me it wants to trend again

but then again I fancy a scalp in my lunch hour
