Hi,
Just want the cheapest way to feed live prices, tick by tick, into a spreadsheet on excel.
I need to be able to stream at least 100 stocks simultaneously with minute by minute data for the past 20 days.
The data needs to update into the spreadsheet automatically for all the stocks in the ftse 100 constantly while the markets are open.
A simple DDE feed would probably do it.

Also, how do i set up my other spreadsheet to update automatically at the end of the day with historical price data that is free, without downloading it from yahoo and manually entering it into the spreadsheet for every stock individually. How can i set it up to update automatically when i boot up in the morning :?:

Thanks (y)

Not cheap, but that is the sort of functionality that you get with B'Berg & Reuters...

More likely your machine would proabably lock up. Fundamentally, DDE "pushes" data onto your spreaddy regardless of what else is happening on the spreaddy. This is the sort of thing that I wouldn't even try on a trader box.

Google for "Auto_Open"
