This is the biggest load of misconceived tripe I had ever read. You are making schoolboy errors here. Last weeks winning numbers are equally as likely as 5,6,7,8,9,10.
If you space out your numbers then you are in fact decreasing your chances of winning a large amount - because most people playing the lottery do that - your choices are not random - therefore you are more likely to share your prize with another.
There is NOTHING you can do to win on the lottery - you play the lottery in the hope of the jackpot, but it is nothing more than hope - other than buying more tickets there is nothing you can do to improve your chances.

Actually, I think it's something like 5 mill tickets are bought with 123456 every draw (because people are really ****ing stupid)
If you're referring to the uk national lottery, then I'm sure there's a bunch of people trying to mathematically model it, which I guess could help a bit, but most people with the ability have better things to be doing.
