They are another indicator.

In the end you would be better off devoting yourself to either trading price action with support and resistance (see stuff by dbPhoenix) or bounces off moving averages (a simple system like the floor trader's system in http://www.trade2win.com/boards/general-trading-chat/29598-useful-things-i-ve-found-net.html)

Learn these things because they are about interpreting the actual market action.
